In the template, we've added some example days of writing so you can see how to use the template. You can find it under the main "pages" section on the template, and it's really simple to fill out. We’ve also added a "word count" page to the Notion template! It's really easy to use, and it's just a way to keep yourself accountable for how much writing you've achieved each day. This view allows you to actually visualise all of your figures, as the figure images you uploaded to the images column become the display pictures! This may sound a lot, but it really helps you keep track of what stage your figures are up to. Plus when you finish designing each of your figures, you can tick them off as finished, which is also super satisfying to do!īut the pièce de résistance is when you view the figures tracker in the "Board View" rather than "Table View". Similarly if you created a schematic on BioRender, you need to remember that in order to attribute to BioRender in the legend too. For example, if you based one of your figures on a figure from another paper, it’s important you know which paper to cite in the legend. This tracker allows you to stay on top of important aspects of your figure making process. This might be our favourite page of the whole template! You can use this page to keep track of the figures in your thesis within each chapter. That way, you will only see your to do list for the week with items that haven't been done yet!įinally, at the very bottom of this front page is a link to the page containing the master list for the tasks, in case you want to view all the tasks you've created, past, present and future. Notice that a "random task 2" is missing? That's because I've ticked it as "Done", at which point it was automatically removed from the table. We've added some example tasks to show what it may look like when you have some tasks in this section. Speaking of, below this is the “Tasks Due This Week” section, which is specifically filtered to show all the tasks that are due this week. You won't then see that task again unless you look forward on the calendar or unless it's due that week in which case it'll show up in the "Tasks Due This Week" table. You then enter all the information you need in, including the due date and whether it's a high priority task, and once you assign it to a specific project in the last column, it disappears from the inbox.
